Event Sales FAQ

Clear answers before your next event.

Understand what ShowGuidance does, where it fits in the sales workflow and how to choose a starting point.

What is ShowGuidance?

ShowGuidance is an event-sales execution platform. It helps teams engage attendees, capture useful conversation context, understand interests and qualification, prioritize follow-up, and carry better information into the next sales action.

Is ShowGuidance a badge scanner?

Capturing a contact is not the same as capturing an opportunity. ShowGuidance’s role goes beyond the contact record: preserve what was discussed, why it matters and which conversations deserve the team’s attention.

Do I need a CRM?

No. Useful qualification, notes and priorities create value even without CRM connectivity. When a CRM integration is connected and configured, event context can move downstream into the broader sales process.

What kinds of events is it for?

ShowGuidance is designed for trade shows, exhibitions, high-value consumer shows, field events and conferences where meaningful conversations need useful context and timely follow-up.

What does ShowGuidance capture?

Contact information and the context behind the interaction: discovery responses, product interests, notes and qualification information. The goal is to preserve what the salesperson needs to continue the conversation—not just who stopped by.

How does prioritization work?

Teams use the qualification factors that matter to their organization—such as need, fit, timing and decision influence—to distinguish conversations worth pursuing now from contacts to keep engaged. Prioritization is about relevance, not simply raw lead volume.

Does it replace our CRM?

No. The CRM remains the system of record for the broader sales process. ShowGuidance is the event-sales execution layer, preserving qualification, context and priorities before the next sales action or a configured CRM handoff.

Can my whole event team use it?

The current Event, Team and Pro plans include unlimited users. Your event team can participate without choosing a plan based on a per-user allowance.

How is pricing structured?

Event is a one-time purchase for a single Event Activation. Team and Pro are 12-month subscriptions with monthly or annual billing options. Compare current capacity, included features and billing terms on the Pricing page.

Can we start with one event?

Yes. The Event plan provides one Event Activation, making it a starting point for a single event. See Pricing for the current plan details and limitations.

Can we use it across multiple event types?

The same principles apply wherever event conversations have sales value: engage, capture, understand, prioritize, act and measure. Choose the plan capacity that fits your program; the workflow is not limited to one industry or event format.

What happens after the event?

The team uses the captured interests, qualification, notes and ownership context to continue relevant conversations. That can mean sharing product information, arranging a follow-up discussion or moving context into a CRM where connected. ShowGuidance helps preserve the information; your team owns the next sales action.
